L'ancienne capitale zapotèque de Monte Alban se situe sur les hauteurs à quelques kilomètre de Oaxaca. Le site connu son apogée entre 350 et 700, formant une société extrêmement organisée, dominée par les prêtres, et bénéficiant d'un système d'irrigation très élaboré.
Allez y tot le matin, pour éviter la chaleur et l'affluence des cars de touristes. Depuis le centre de Oaxaca vous pouvez vous y rendre en bus ou bien si vous êtes 4 avec un peu de négociation il vous en coutera le meme prix en taxi !
The old Zapotec capital of Monte Alban is located few miles away from Oaxaca on the heights. The site reached its peak between 350 and 700, forming a highly organized society dominated by priests, and enjoying a sophisticated irrigation system.
Be there in the morning, to avoid the heat and the tourist buses. From the center of Oaxaca you can take a bus or if you are 4 with a bit of talking you can take a cab for the same price!
